This website has been set up to promote Fairtrade on Skye.
Fairtrade enables producers in the developing world
to work their way out of poverty by providing them with markets for their produce
and fairtrade benefits for their communities and families.
All Fairtrade products carry this logo
Two villages on SKYE have Fairtrade status
BROADFORD (achieved January 2008)
DUNVEGAN (achieved October 2009)
The aim is eventually to achieve Fairtrade Island status for the whole of SKYE
